Business Why you need it
Continuity is no longer optional—it is part of the business.

Digital dependence, cyber threats, and regulatory demands make disaster recovery an indispensable capability—not a luxury.

Non-negotiable continuity

Your customers and regulators will not accept critical services going down, not even for a few hours.

Ransomware is on the rise

Attacks are growing in frequency and sophistication; a single incident can bring an entire operation to a halt.

Mandatory compliance

Regulated industries require tested continuity and recovery plans, backed by evidence.

Downtime is costly

Every hour without service translates into lost revenue, added costs, and brand damage.

Backup is not recovery

Having copies does not guarantee getting back to operations on time; that requires a proven DR strategy.

No CAPEX, no in-house team

Access enterprise-grade DR capabilities as a service, with no investment in hardware or specialists.

The risk of not having it

What is at stake without a DR strategy.

Without proven disaster recovery, an incident stops being a technical problem and becomes a business crisis.

Prolonged operational outage

Hours or days without critical systems, with losses mounting minute by minute.

Irreversible data loss

Customer, transaction, and operational information that cannot be recovered.

Ransomware with no way back

If the backup is encrypted too, the only option is to pay—with no guarantees.

Penalties and audit findings

Regulatory non-compliance, fines, and observations for the lack of demonstrable continuity.

Reputational damage

Loss of trust among customers and partners that is difficult and costly to rebuild.

Recovery that fails

Untested manual procedures that collapse precisely when they are needed most.

The solution

Intelligent data recovery, fully managed.

SyncDR is SUMāTO's business continuity and disaster recovery solution, built on SLM's SyncDR platform. It combines a managed local appliance with a certified private cloud to deliver hybrid backup, continuous replication, and hot recovery (DRaaS)—with 24/7 monitoring and support—eliminating the need to invest in hardware, licenses, or specialized staff.

Why SyncDR

More than backup: operational resilience.

Criticality-based DR

Service levels by application (Tier 0/1/2/3) with defined RTO/RPO: protect what is critical frequently and optimize the rest.

Recovery with evidence

Every backup, replication, and restore leaves an audit trail: evidence of tests, timings, and owners for audit.

Ransomware resilience

Designed for data corruption, accidental deletion, and malicious encryption, with restoration to trusted points.

Flexible architecture

Cloud, hybrid, or on-premise: on-prem production with DR in the cloud, cloud-to-cloud, or on-prem-to-on-prem.

End-to-end security

AES-256 encryption, MFA, anti-ransomware, and geographic redundancy, aligned with ISO 27001 and GDPR.

Managed 24/7 operations

Proactive monitoring, alerting, and remediation managed by SUMāTO: no operational tasks for your team.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask about SyncDR.

How is it different from a traditional backup?+
A backup stores copies; SyncDR guarantees recovery. It combines hybrid backup with continuous replication, hot recovery in minutes (DRaaS), DR testing with evidence, and RTO/RPO objectives by criticality. Having the copy is not enough: you need to get back to operations quickly and reliably.
What are RTO and RPO?+
The RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is how long recovering a service can take; the RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is how much data you can afford to lose (how current the backup is). SyncDR defines both by application according to its criticality and protects at the right frequency to meet them.
Does it protect against ransomware?+
Yes. It is designed for scenarios of malicious encryption, corruption, and deletion: it maintains trusted restore points, AES-256 encryption, MFA, and geographic redundancy, and lets you restore to a point prior to the incident to recover operations in an orderly way.
Which environments and applications does it support?+
Physical, virtual (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM), cloud, and SaaS environments. It protects databases and critical applications such as SQL Server, Oracle, Exchange, and SAP, and SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365, Gmail, SharePoint, and Google Workspace.
Does it work in cloud, hybrid, or on-premise?+
In all three. It supports mixed models based on policy and criticality: on-premise production with DR in the cloud, cloud-to-cloud, or on-premise-to-on-premise, with progressive, wave-based scaling.
Do I have to buy hardware or hire staff?+
No. SyncDR is an as-a-service offering that includes the local appliance, the private cloud, 24/7 monitoring, and support. SUMāTO operates the entire lifecycle, with no upfront investment in hardware, licenses, or specialized staff.
How do I know recovery will work?+
Through periodic, controlled recovery tests (DR Tests) that do not affect your operations and that generate auditable evidence of success, timings, and findings. Continuity stops being a promise and becomes verifiable.
How does it relate to a DRP or a BCP?+
SyncDR is the technology capability that makes your continuity strategy executable. It integrates with your Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and your Business Continuity Plan (BCP), providing the real data and system recovery those plans require.
