Technology consulting, and the integration of what gets decided.
SUMāTO is an IT strategic-planning consultancy and a vendor-agnostic integrator. We advise on the technology decision and then design, integrate and operate the chosen solution, according to the client's requirements.
Book a diagnostic (60 min) → See what we do →We are consulting and integration. Technology is built by the manufacturers, and it is precisely that separation which lets us choose on merit: the solution is selected against your organisation's requirements, not against a commercial alliance. The work starts in strategy —what is worth doing and in what order— and ends in operation, which is where a decision proves whether it was the right one.
From the decision to the operation, with the criterion stated from the outset.
The sequence is always the same, and each stage hands the next something documented. Whatever was not decided on merit in the previous stage carries forward as an assumption until it fails.
Diagnostic
An initial 60-minute session to understand the operation, the problem and what already exists, before proposing anything.
Strategy
What is worth doing, in what order and with what priority, tied to business objectives rather than to the available catalogue.
Design
Architecture and requirements written before product selection, so the purchase answers to the design and not the other way round.
Integration
Implementation on the existing platform, with acceptance criteria agreed before the test is executed.
Operation
Administration and support under service levels, with accountability for the result and not only for the handover.
Governance
Periodic reporting, documentary evidence and review of what was decided, so a decision can be audited afterwards.
What being independent means in practice.
It is an easy claim to make and a hard one to sustain. These are the six concrete ways it shows up in a project.
The requirement first
The need is documented before the market is looked at. A requirement written after the product was chosen is not a requirement, it is a justification.
Explicit comparison
Alternatives are evaluated against the same criterion, and the criterion is handed to the client alongside the recommendation.
Total cost of operation
The comparison includes what the solution costs to run and to renew, not only what it costs to acquire.
Multi-vendor portfolio
We work with several manufacturers in each category, so that a real alternative exists to compare against.
The recommendation in writing
It is recorded with its assumptions, so it can be revisited when the conditions that supported it change.
Ours and theirs, kept separate
Our contribution is the criterion, the integration and the operation. The platform belongs to its manufacturer, and every proposal says so.
Consulting, integration and operation.
The three are contracted separately or as a full cycle. When they travel together, accountability for the result is not split between suppliers.
Strategic consulting
IT planning, prioritisation of initiatives and the roadmap that orders them across time and budget.
Enterprise architecture
The common blueprint between business and technology, so each project decides within one criterion.
Solution integration
Cloud, data, automation and cybersecurity implemented on the platform your organisation already has.
Managed services
Continuous operation under service levels, with periodic reporting and a single owner of the day to day.
Data center
Design, implementation, assurance, operation and monitoring of the data center technology platform.
Support
Incident handling for clients with an active contract, with declared severity and traceability for every case.
Colombia and Mexico.
SUMāTO CO
Operating identity for Colombia. We work in Spanish and within local operating hours, which is when your team needs someone to answer.
SUMāTO MX
Operating identity for Mexico, with the same method, the same independence criterion and the same service commitments.
One criterion across both countries
How we decide, design and operate does not change at the border: what changes is the team alongside you and the local framework that applies.
Remote and on-site delivery
Most of the work is delivered remotely, which keeps cost predictable; on-site presence is agreed when the work calls for it.
The method is declared at the start, not halfway through the work.
We work with five methodologies —enterprise architecture, project management, agile delivery, human-centred design and early validation— and choose between them according to the problem: whether the scope is defined, or has to be discovered first.
Start with the decision, not with the purchase.
In a 60-minute session we review your situation, identify what is worth resolving first, and tell you honestly whether we can help and how soon. If you would rather see work before talking, the use cases show how it applies in each industry.
